Prainha Beach

Prainha is a beach placed in Arraial do Cabo City (Lagos Microregion), it is the first at the city entrance with 1km extension with real calm clear and warm waters. appropriate to many aquatic sports and highly recommended to families. It also has many kiosks with typical drinks and good fresh snacks based on the local fishery. From this beach you can see Cabo Frio and Búzios (also very nice places to visit) and walking to the right side of this beach, at low tide, you can get to Praia da Graçainha, a very small beach with 15 meters extension that disappears at the high tides.

There's also many other attractions at this beach like the Navy Museum, where you can find many species from those waters (like the Giant Turtle). There's also many boat trips as well.

Positive Vibes to all!!

Copacabana Beach

Considered by many the most famous beach in the world, the "Princesinha do Mar" (Sea's Little Princess) is placed at the south side of Rio, being visited by millions every year. It is also common to see many live concerts (Rolling Stones - 1 million people; Rod Stewart - 3,5 million people), the New Year's Eve with an attendance of 3 million people, the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup (invented at this beach by Junior, former player from Flamengo), as well many street festivities during the Carnival as well many other religion activites during the year.

The beach strecthes from "Posto 2" (Lifeguard Watchtower Two) to "Posto 6" (Lifeguard Watchtower Six) and limited by the Avenida Atlântica, where you can find dozens of hotels, restaurants, bars, night clubs and residential buildings.

During the 70´s, took place some works on the beach to prevent the water going to the city during the winter, which caused the enlargement of the sand area and the Avenida Atlântica.
